What We Value
What we value shapes how we go about creating our Bible studies. The following are three things we value highly:
Good Biblical Scholarship
Although we spend a great deal of time studying the Bible as we prepare our Bible studies, we also study the writings of a wide‑range of biblical scholars. Scholars have been studying and writing about the Bible since it was written. We would be foolish not to value their work and to learn everything we can from them.
Unfortunately, many of the works of good Bible scholars are written in a very academic style, which makes it hard for the general public to understand them. Furthermore, because there are so many scholarly works out there, the average person does not have the time to begin to work through them. We are committed to taking the time to gather the best insights of biblical scholars and to incorporate them into our studies in a way that makes them readily understandable.
Accessible Bible Studies
We believe sound biblical teaching should be readily accessible. Therefore, our Bible studies can be accessed for free by anyone with an internet-connected device (smart phone, tablet, computer). We do not charge anything for our Bible studies because we want anyone who wants to acquire a deeper understanding of the Bible to be able to access them.
Students can access our studies whenever it is most convenient for them. If they stop working on a Bible study before completing it, they can pick up right where they left off when they come back to the study. Because they have unlimited access to our studies, they can work through them at their own pace and revisit them as often as they want.
User Feedback
We place a high value on the feedback that users submit. We believe their feedback is essential to the long-term success of our ministry as it provides us with valuable insights into how we can improve our Bible studies. We consider any feedback helpful if it enables us to make our studies better. If we make changes to any of our lessons based on the feedback that someone has sent us, we will send them a $25 Amazon gift card because we truly value feedback.
When a user completes a Bible study, the user is encouraged to click a Submit Feedback link on the last slide of the study. If they click this button, a feedback form appears. This form asks them to rate different aspects of the study. It also asks them what they most like about the study and any ideas they have about how we could make it better.
If the feedback addresses a typo or something that is not working correctly, we address the issue as quickly as possible. For all of the other feedback, we wait until we have gathered feedback from multiple users before making significant updates.
