Board of Director Qualities
The members of the board of directors must have a passion for the mission of the Word-n-Will ministry. Our mission is to create interactive e-Learning studies of books of the bible that are designed to be used by small groups to help their members know God's word and do God's will.
We don't expect our board members to have expertise in the area of biblical exegesis (interpretation of the biblical text), but we do expect our board members to have expertise in an area that will help them provide sound guidance to the ministry. A board member could be someone who has successful experience as an entrepreneur or has expertise in the area of small groups, e-Learning, administration, or fundraising.
The members of the board of directors must be willing to make the time commitment necessary to fulfill their responsibilities as directors. This includes time for regular board meetings, as well as the time needed to know where the ministry is at and where it is going, so that they can provide informed guidance.
The members of the board of directors must be willing to speak the truth in love. They must be willing to share their opinion even if they believe others may have a totally different point of view. They must also be willing to carefully consider the input from others.
